The National Walk for Epilepsy is extremely grateful for the thousands of volunteers that have given tirelessly each year to make it a successful and memorable event. By getting involved, you become vital to our mission to make a difference in the lives of millions. Volunteers are needed prior to and day of the walk event. Fast paced and highly energetic volunteers with outstanding customer service are needed prior to and day of the walk.
Day of Event Volunteers
We count on our Day of Event volunteers to ensure a successful National Walk for Epilepsy experience. Volunteer opportunities include:
Assist with Kids’ activities such as face painting, arts and crafts, and games.
Food and Water Distribution
Assist handing out refreshments and water to walkers at different points within Walkers Village.
T Shirt Tents
Distribution of T shirts to walkers and answer general Walk questions.
Volunteer and Event Information Tent
Assist with check in of volunteers and answer general Walk questions.
Water Stations on Walk Course
Assist on the Walk course with water distribution
Assist in gathering walkers to the start line
Cheer on walkers as they cross the finish line and direct them to the food and water in Walkers village
Cheer/Guide walkers as they walk along route
Ask The Experts
Assist with the Ask the Experts panel gathering questions, etc.
Epilepsy Foundation’s Information & Resource Tent
Assist with handing out foundation information and resources to walkers and receive onsite donations
I Can Help Where Needed
Assist where ever needed in Walker’s Village or walk course
