The 11th Annual National Walk for Epilepsy takes place at the Washington Monument grounds at 15th Street and Independence Avenue, NW. Metro rail service is available starting at 7:00 a.m., and the closest station is Smithsonian Metro (via Blue or Orange lines). For more details, visit wmata.com. Parking can be difficult near the Washington Monument Grounds, so please plan accordingly. The nearest parking lot is at the Ronald Reagan Building (entrance on 14th Street, NW). Parking at Ronald Reagan Building is open 24hrs. Visit http://itcdc.com/parking/ for additional information.
You can register as an individual or a team for the National Walk for Epilepsy online, by mail or at late registration on 4/15. Registration fees are $35 for adults, $20 for youth 12 and under and $40 for Virtual Walker (Note: After February 24th registration increases). Included for all registrants is an official Walk t-shirt.

Ritz Carlton Hotel, Fashion Centre at Pentagon City located at 1250 S Hayes St, Arlington, VA 22202 is the site for late registration and t-shirt pick up. Registration costs after February 24, 2017 are $40 for Adults and $25 for youth.

There are no discounts for senior citizens, but children ages 12 and under can register for $20.
The Epilepsy Foundation does not require individuals to raise a minimum amount to participate in the walk. We ask individuals to register for the walk ($35 for adults $20 for children 12 and under) and set a goal to raise additional funds from friends and family.
These hotels are in close proximity to the location of the Walk (either walking distance or accessible by public transportation-METRO).
Service animals, any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability, are permitted at the National Walk for Epilepsy.
*Note dog owners: All dogs that plan to participate in the event must be walked on a lead no more than 4 feet long and should remain on a leash at all times. Each owner should also have a copy of their pet’s current Rabies as well as Distemper vaccination paperwork from a licensed veterinarian. If the participating dog is entering from another state then a signed Health Certificate from a licensed veterinarian dated within (30) days of the pet's arrival to the District must also accompany the pet.

People pushing strollers are encouraged to participate at the end of the walk.
For safety reasons, we cannot accommodate in-line skates or skate boards in the Walk.
Unfortunately, no, volunteers serve a very important role in the National Walk for Epilepsy experience by making sure the day is a huge success. Volunteers, while not walking, will help welcome all the walkers, participate in making sure the walkers are safe and comfortable, and help with the pre-walk rally and post-walk celebrations. Donations can be sent to the Epilepsy Foundation – National Walk for Epilepsy 8301 Professional Place Landover, MD 20785. Please make all checks payable to: "National Walk for Epilepsy" and mail with an donation form.
It is not a good idea to send a cash donation in the mail. You may drop off the cash at Epilepsy Foundation along with a completed donation form or you can deposit the cash into your checking account and send a personal check from your account with a completed donation form. The donation will be credited to the name or team on the donation form.
You can't enter a check online. What you can do is enter a check as a pledge. This can be done in the fundraising section of your headquarters page. The status of the check will be pending until the check is received by Epilepsy Foundation.
The entry fee and all pledges and donations raised for the National Walk for Epilepsy by individuals or participants are all tax deductible.
